• Pastor Ernie and Janice will be on vacation through this week and will return September 12. Contact a
member of the SLT if a need arises.
• The Love Center: For the month of September we will be collecting spaghetti sauce and salsa. You may
place your food donations in the box below the coat rack in the lobby. Other food items are also welcome.
• All Committee chairpersons are reminded that year-end reports need to be submitted to the secretary’s
office as soon as possible. You may email your report to berlinmennonite@yahoo.com, or place a hard copy
in Dayna Schrock’s mailbox.
• You’re invited to the Ladies Sewing this Wednesday, September 8 beginning at 8:30am. Fall is here! Join
us and learn how to quilt and knot comforters. Devotions will be given by Elsie Mast. Bring a sack lunch.

• Senior Breakfast is back! Join other seniors in our congregation on Thursday, September 9 at 8:30am at
the Der Dutchman for a time of food and fellowship. Senior Breakfast will continue to be held the second
Thursday of each month.
• Circle of Care will meet Saturday, September 11 at 9am. Paula Sanchez from Walnut Hills will be speaking
about activities caregivers can do with those they care for. Contact Denise Anderson with questions.
• ATTENTION Berlin Mennonite Children (grades K-6): You are invited to sing in the brand new Berlin
Mennonite Children’s Choir. The first practice will take place next Sunday, September 12 in the fellowship
hall after a dismissal during the Worship Service. Come ready to sing. If you have questions contact JoEllen
Hummel at hummelfive@gmail.com.
• The next session of GriefShare, led by Janice Hershberger and Becky Kandel, will begin September 15
and continue each Wednesday evening from 7pm to 8:30pm through December 15. Please contact the
church office to pre-register.
• Church Day Out, Sunday, September 19 at Memory Park: The outdoor worship service begins at 10am.
Please bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on during the service. Tables and chairs in the pavilion will be
available during lunch. Chicken will be provided by the Men’s 1 class, so bring salads, sides and desserts.
Coffee and water provided and plug-ins available. Lots of fun activities planned in the afternoon – softball,
corn hole, pony rides, bounce house, horse shoes, and more for all ages! Bring softball, volleyball,
basketball, Frisbee, or other outdoor equipment. Anyone needing help with transportation, please contact
the church office. Please come enjoy the outdoor worship and fellowship!
• All ladies are invited to “Journey with Jesus” at the Camp Luz Women’s Retreat, September 17-19.
Featured speaker will be Deb Horst. Many workshops will be taking place. Registration forms have been
placed in mailboxes and are also available at the resource rack between the mailboxes. Deadline for
registration is September 5.
• A Fall Ladies’ Bible Study will begin Tuesday mornings at 9:30am beginning September 21 and will
continue for 11 weeks. This Beth Moore study titled, “Beloved Disciple: The Life and Ministry of John”,
follows the life of John using the books of John, Acts, I John and Revelation. Come for a time of
encouragement and growth in your relationship with Christ. Child care is provided. Workbooks are $10. A
sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board. Please sign up by September 12.
• All Secret Sisters are invited to attend the Secret Sister Reveal & Tea on Sunday, September 26 at
2:00pm.
• The Annual Business Meeting has been scheduled for Sunday, September 26 at 6pm. Please plan on
attending. Light refreshments will be served.
• The MYF will be hosting a Rummage Sale on Saturday, October 2 beginning at 9:00am. Clean out your
closets and storage rooms, as we are accepting donations for the sale! You may bring your donations for the
sale to the church office at any time during office hours. All proceeds will benefit the MYF’s trip to the
convention in Pittsburgh next summer. Contact Denise Anderson, 330-231-1839, with questions.
• Looking ahead: Mark your calendars for LifeTouch pictorial directory photographs to be taken Thursday-
Saturday, October 28-30. More details on times and scheduling opportunities coming soon!
