  • 1. Family Nights continue this Wednesday! This week the MYF will provide the meal – they are providing haystacks! There will be no theme for this Wednesday Night.

Holmes Center for the Arts is bringing Handel's Messiah to Holmes County April 6 and 7, 2018 with 70 community members singing in the choir and 15 musicians accompanying them. April 6 performance at West Holmes High School Theater 7 PM. April 7 performance at Berlin Mennonite Church 7 PM. Tickets go on sale March 1 at

    3. Ohio Relief Sale Kick-off Meeting on April 14, 2018 - help kick off the 2018 Relief Sale season at the annual Kick-off Meeting at Salem Mennonite. Meeting will start at 6:30pm with a meal served by the Wayne County Axis Youth Group. Music will be provided by the Central Christian Varsity Singers. For more information, visit

    4. MCC Vietnam Storytelling Event: Join Mennonite Central Committee for stories of Vietnam at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, at Kidron Mennonite Church Fellowship Building, 3987 Kidron Road, in Kidron. Special guest speakers will be Doug Hostetter, current director of the MCC United Nations Office, and Thien Tran, Vietnamese intern in the MCC U.N. office. In light of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, Doug will share from his first-hand experiences in Vietnam as a conscientious objector with MCC and his subsequent work. Thien will also share about growing up after the war and the legacy it left behind.

    5. Open Arms Hispanic Ministry is hosting TACO TUESDAY, a fundraising banquet on March 20, at the Kidron Park Community Center. The meal begins at 6 pm and will feature a catered taco bar. Music by guest musician, Bryan Moyer Suderman, and a program of Open Arms ministry highlights will follow. A free-will offering will be taken.     6. The upcoming Berlin Mennonite MDS trip to LaGrange TX (March 18 – 24) has a goal to raise $7,000 to help cover their travel expenses of $3,500 and to make a donation of $3,500 to the MDS project. The recent Tex-Mex lunch raised close to $5,000.
